Nordic provides residential property care and management for homeowners in Fairfield County, including owner-occupied houses and second homes. Nordic does not handle leasing, tenant placement or rent collection.
Think of it as the operating manual for your house.
Nordic organizes important property information in one place, including:
Major home systems and equipment
Model, serial and filter information where useful
Filter sizes and replacement schedules
Service providers and contact information
Maintenance and service history
Upcoming maintenance needs
Shutoffs and useful property information
Notes about recurring issues and quirks of the home
For Nordic Complete clients, Nordic actively maintains the Home Book as work is performed, vendors change and the property’s needs evolve.
The purpose is simple: someone besides the homeowner knows the property.
Home Care Visits
Proactive attention to the things that are easy to forget.
Depending on the property and season, visits may include:
Replacing filters and routine consumables
Dishwasher and refrigerator filter maintenance
Smoke and CO detector and battery checks
Visual checks for leaks or developing maintenance issues
Doors, hardware, caulking and minor adjustments
Seasonal property needs
Exterior walk-around where appropriate
Reviewing the outstanding House List
Updating completed and upcoming maintenance in the Home Book
Home Care Visits are routine maintenance attention, not a formal or specialized home inspection.
Vendor Coordination
Your house shouldn’t require a contact list.
When work requires another professional, Nordic can help coordinate the appropriate provider, communicate relevant information about the property, schedule service and keep track of completed work.
Where included or arranged, Nordic can also provide property access so you don’t have to rearrange the day around a contractor arrival window.
This may include plumbers, electricians, HVAC providers, landscapers, cleaners, window cleaners and other home-service professionals. When specialized licensed work is required, Nordic coordinates the appropriate professional rather than performing work outside its scope.
Home Watch
Someone keeping an eye on the property when you can’t.
For travel, extended absences and second homes, Nordic can visit the property, check agreed-upon areas, provide updates and help coordinate service if something requires attention.
Two levels of ongoing care
Both plans include direct text access to Nordic and the preferred $60/hour handyman rate while the membership is active.
Standard handyman rate: $75/hour. Consultation clients: preferred $60/hour rate for six months. Nordic Care and Nordic Complete members: $60/hour while membership is active. One-hour minimum applies. Repairs, projects and outside contractors are billed separately unless listed above. Included scope is confirmed before a membership begins, and larger or more complex properties may carry additional charges.
Not sure where to start?
Home Care Consultation $99
Walk the property with Rob, talk through what’s on your list, identify maintenance priorities and begin organizing the important information about your home.
Join Nordic Care or Nordic Complete within 30 days and Nordic will apply the $99 toward your membership.
One credit per property and new membership. The homeowner receives the credit whether the consultation was paid for by the homeowner, a realtor or another approved gift purchaser. It applies to the first membership payment only when joining within 30 days of the completed consultation. No cash value and non-transferable.
Common questions
Does Nordic manage rental properties?
No. Nordic provides residential property care and management for homeowners, including owner-occupied houses and second homes. Nordic does not handle leasing, tenant placement, rent collection or tenant management.
Do I need a membership to use Nordic?
No. Many homeowners start with a single repair or project at the standard $75/hour handyman rate. Nordic Care and Nordic Complete are for homeowners who want ongoing help keeping track of the property.
What does the consumables allowance cover?
Nordic Care includes a $150 annual routine-consumables allowance and Nordic Complete includes $250 annually, per membership year. It covers ordinary preventative-maintenance items such as standard HVAC filters, batteries, bulbs and designated household filters. Specialty items and amounts above the allowance are billed separately.
How does the $99 membership credit work?
If you join Nordic Care or Nordic Complete within 30 days of your completed consultation, Nordic applies $99 toward your first membership payment.
What about licensed work like electrical or plumbing?
Nordic performs handyman and property-care work directly. When a job requires a licensed specialist, Nordic coordinates the appropriate professional, shares what matters about the property and keeps track of the work.
How quickly does Nordic respond to a text?
Text messages are answered during normal business hours. Nordic is not an emergency-response service, so for anything urgent such as an active leak, loss of heat or a safety issue, call the appropriate emergency service or utility first.
